Summary
Inspace Construction Group are currently looking for experienced MIG and Fluxcore 6G Welders to join our company based in, Northampton, Northamptonshire.
The qualifying candidate must be professional, self- motivated, physically fit and have an excellent work ethic. Prior experience within the shipbuilding sector is an advantage.
Responsibilities.
• MIG and Fluxcore Welding MAG + FCAW
• 6G Welding position + Supplemental 4G
• Material Specifications CS Pipe: ASTM A106 Gr B CS Pipe - ASTM A106 Gr B
• Fabrication and installation of pipes and pipelines between 18mm to 20mm thickness and pipe diameter 25mm and above
• Length of Pipe: 150 mm
• Shielding Gas: 80% Ar / 20% CO2 (Argon mix Gas)
• Purging Gas: Application n/a
• Joint Design: Single V - Groove Weld
• Groove Angle: 45 degree inclined
• Welding Joint Type: Butt Joint and Supplemental Fillet Weld 12mm
• Fabrication and installation of metal structures of different sizes
• Interpreting blueprints, sketches, and diagrams
• Lifting heavy weight metals and travel capability
• Keeping records and maintaining an inventory of the parts
• Observing safety reports and regulations
• Ability to follow senior official orders
• Ability to work in both night and day shifts
• Maintaining punctuality and daily time records
• Maintaining a neat clean work area
• Showing mutual respect for co-workers
• Ready to work any site other duty if assigned
Competencies
• NDT VT – Visual test only + RT/UT (as per ISO 9606-1 Para. 6.4 Table 13) + Fracture Testing for Supplemental Fillet Weld
