Summary

Your new company
You will be working for a large professional services business in Southampton, looking to add a Revenue manager to their finance team.
Your new role
You will be in charge of the following:

  • You will be responsible for the cash cycle as well as be the business process owner for credit control, exposure management and collections.
  • You will develop appropriate policies for credit control.
  • You will be involved in setting targets and objectives and ongoing development and improvement of processes and systems.
  • Ownership and development of the credit control and collection processes.
  • Credit setting and monitoring, including utilisation of external agency credit information.
  • Establish and manage procedures to ensure that matters are billed and collected promptly.
  • Regular progress reporting against all targets.
  • Coordinate the debt collection process, liaising with external advisors as required.
  • Assist with the calculation of the doubtful debt and disbursement provisions.
  • Manage the Credit Control team including agreeing and setting individual objectives.
  • Providing guidance to the team on which areas to target to maximise collections.
  • Provide guidance to the team members and fee earners on VAT and client queries.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You will need full right-to-work in the UK, with prior experience working within a UK finance function.
  • You require exposure to a professional services background: Accountancy Practice, Legal Firm etc.
  • Understanding of Revenue / Credit procedures and best practice
