Summary
Dunster First School requires a L3 Teaching Assistant Apprentice, working throughout the school. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in supporting our students' learning. We are looking to welcome into our team an enthusiastic apprentice, with a passion for education and a commitment to growing our students.
What will the apprentice be doing?
Successful candidates will need to:
- Be committed to high standards of teaching and learning
- Be inclusive, enthusiastic, motivated and committed to raising standards
- Be creative, innovative and forward thinking
- Have a willingness to contribute to all aspects of school life
- Be fully supportive of the values and ethos of our school and the wider federation
- Uphold all the facets within our staff code of conduct, including working as a
member of our school and federation wide team
- Commit to our school and federation wide vision
- We are looking for a kind, caring and patient member of staff to join the Learning
Support team.
- Be hardworking with a good team attitude
- Be committed to enabling all children to achieve their potential
- Provide a purposeful learning environment which reflects the school’s high
expectations

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant.
- Functional Skills in English and maths Level 2 if required.
- End Point Assessment: Practical workplace observation; Q&A session;
Professional Discussion.
- Blended on/off the job training and location to be confirmed.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- We have a great history of working with apprentices within our Federation, most
have progressed on to a higher level apprenticeship or into a full time role.
