Facilities Coordinator
Hours: 35 hours - Mon to Fri
Salary: £26k to £28k PA
Location: East London
Role overview
The facilities Coordinator is responsible for overseeing building and equipment maintenance, scheduling preventive maintenance tasks, addressing maintenance emergencies, and ensuring the safety and security of Providence Row premises. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our facilities to support the charity’s goals effectively.
Objectives and responsibilities
• Develop and manage building and equipment maintenance schedules.
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance calls and situations.
• Preparing for emergencies by creating building evacuation and other action plans.
• Testing building security systems and promoting safety within the building.
• Perform regular safety and security inspections of the building.
• Conduct routine testing of building security systems.
• Create and update building evacuation and other emergency action plans.
• Ensure all safety protocols are in place and adhered to.
• Oversee equipment and supply needs, including furniture, telecommunications, kitchen appliances, office equipment, and climate control systems.
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary supplies and equipment.
• Report regularly to senior managers on maintenance activities and building status.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, processes, and budgets.
• Supervise maintenance workers when required to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Support occasional projects as agreed between with your line manager.
• Support out-of-hours maintenance works when required (limited).
• Work in accordance with Providence Row’s values, guiding principles, policies and procedures.
