Summary

2 DutiesThey are accountable for the following,• Manage, Grad design Engineers, Design Engineers to complete designs instructed by thecompany and make use of the skillsets to support within the required business timeframe. (Measurable).• To complete designs instructed by the company to support to meet the requirements ofstatutory, non-statutory, Client, manufactures documents (Measurable).• Provide technical support and solution decision making both in practice and reactive toincoming issues.• Understand when there are issues and overcome them only with solutions• See possible issues and risk and overcome them before they happen in a proactivemanner opposed to a reactive manner.• To understand what is being designed for and challenge the client or instructing personswhere required• Consider an initiative-taking approach, rather than reactive.• Show due diligence and use of engineering judgement.• Fully understand the tools and software required to support the reporting line, AUTOCAD, PVSOL, SOLAR EDGE, and EOM etc.• Complete your “day to day” work schedule.• Complete the data you are responsible for inside the company management tool or anyother Company tools. (Measurable).• Following company processes and documentations.• Identifying non-compliance and safety issues and clarifying with the person(s) yoursupporting with proposed solutions.• Complete designer risk assessments for the designs submitted.• Control designs that are allocated to you and review at the end of each design

This includes knowledge of solar panels, inverters, mountingstructures, and electrical connections. Able to, or instruct Site Assessments: Perform site assessments to evaluate the feasibility ofinstalling solar PV systems. This involves analysing factors such as shading, orientation,available roof space, and electrical infrastructure. Able to, or instruct to Design Solar PV Systems: Have the skills to design efficient andeffective solar PV systems. This includes sizing the system, determining the number andarrangement of solar panels, selecting appropriate inverters, and designing electricalconnections. Able to, or instruct Participate in training programs and engage in continuous learning toenhance your knowledge and skills. Able to, or instruct the preparation of technical documentation and cost estimates fortender responses. This includes collaborating with the sales or business development teamto provide technical expertise and input.Phase 2 (G99) Applications: Able to complete or instruct and review compliance with G99regulations, which govern the connection and operation of generation equipment in theUK's electrical power system. Support with Tender Response Technical Documents and Estimating: Able to complete, orinstruct and complete technical documents and cost estimates for tender responses,working closely with the sales or business development team. Electrical System Design, including Cable and Protection Calculations: Able to complete orinstruct and review the expertise in designing electrical systems for solar PV installations,including cable sizing, protection device selection, and related calculations. CAD/PV Syst/PV Sol: Able to complete or instruct team members in using CAD software forcreating detailed system drawings and layouts. Liaising with Clients Ensuring Designs Meet Their Requirements: Communicate effectivelywith clients to understand their needs and incorporate their feedback into the designprocess. Ensure that the final solar PV designs align with client expectations. Provide constructive feedback and in a clear communicative way.• Able to communicate to support in technical conversations and support the team whereareas are not understood to help with the teams technical knowledge andunderstanding.• Provide accurate and detailed responses to the questions asked.• Able to explain when its opinion opposed to regulations when asked questions• Able to understand what the impact of statutory and non-statutory documentation andthe outcome if not followed or understood.• Complete surveys on sites and prior to site visit to ensure the correct information iscaptured for the design to progress 1st time and highlight issues or risk that can beaddressed immediately.• Attendance and supporting on Stakeholder Broadcast calls, Design Forums, Workshops.• Ensure data within the companies' tools is kept up to date and clear even wheninstructing the teams and their data.• When requested attend meetings from the team and support.• Able to take on and understand instructions for BDM's and the like• Create drawings to include access details and methodology for the installation andmaintenance of.
