Summary
This post is the principal security officer/advisor for all security matters within Larkhill Garrison and is responsible to the Garrison Commander.
Provide advice to all Garrison regiments and lodger units.
Security Orders, Regulations and Instructions. Production and promulgation of Garrison Security Standing Orders, Access Control Policy and Major Incident Orders. Advising the Head of Establishment on their implementation.
Security Risk Management. To include:
Security Risk Register (SRR). Produce and maintain a central Garrison SRR in accordance with current polices. Chair the Garrison Security Risk Management Board and submit returns annually to HQSW for inclusion on the higher formation Security Risk Management Board.
Security Risk Estimate (SRE). Ensure that all entries on the SRR are supported an SRE and where appropriate a Statement of Need.
Security Breach Investigations. Conduct investigation into breaches of security.
Security liaison. Liaison with HQ Army G2, HQ SW, 431 MI Sect, RMP and Civil Police.
Security Education & Training. Coordination of security education courses and exercises (including support to the Fargo Ammunition Compound).
Protective Security. Provide protective security advice across the Garrison, and where necessary liaise with the GMT/Aspire for recommended physical infrastructure requirements. Maintenance of protective security through systematic reviews, checks and inspections.
Security Interface.
Garrison SMART Base Project:
Focal point for the BT/Army SMARTBase project, attend regular project meeting.
Asset Owner & Site Administrator for Garrison Security CCTV & Automated Access Control gates.
Responsible for the development and testing of security analytics through the BriefCam software. Garrison Pass Office.
The management of the Garrison Pass Office:
Oversee the issuing and aftercare of all security passes (vehicles and personnel).
Maintain a robust BPSS process in conjunction with ADSL.
Responsible for the implementation and compliance of Data Security in line with DPA18.
Line Manage 1 x D.
