Lead Mechanical Design Engineer required for a specialist and growing aircraft services company who hold a global reputation. This is a great opportunity for someone to play an integral role within a company where your designs will be used to support a prestigeous client base. You will be given the opportunity to work with the latest EV technologies within this varied role.
This role would suit an experienced mechanical design engineer who has experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. You will need experience working with sheet metal, welded materials, fabrication etc., and will have experience using both 2D and 3D CAD software.
The successful candidate will work closely with the company’s Operation Manager to oversee a small design team, responsible for the development and continous improvement of the product ranges the company provide. You will be involved in using AutoCAD and Inventor to create technical drawings and 3D models for new designs.
Lead Mechanical Design Engineer Role:
· Technical lead in a team of three design engineers
· Develop concept drwings to supporting proposal / quotation process
· Using AutoCAD to create technical drawings
· Using Inventor to create 3D designs
· Creation of BOMs – selection of components and compilation of costings
· Support product testing on site
Lead Mechanical Design Engineer Candidate:
· Mechanical design background
· Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
