Summary


An opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner’s (PWP) to join City Health Care Partnership’s NHS Hull Talking Therapies Lets Talk Service.

You will be providing evidence-based step 2 CBT based interventions to a diverse range of clients from a variety of backgrounds and whose first language may not be English. As a trainee PWP you will develop knowledge and experience of working with people experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues, including psychological trauma.

It is therefore essential that you are able to communicate sensitively and effectively are non-judgemental and compassionate. The successful candidate’s will be proactive in their own development and will need to carry out some self-directed study outside of their working hours. You will engage in supervision, peer and individual practice reviews. You will be able to work flexibly across the area of service delivery and will be proactive in organisational, service and personal development.

As a trainee PWP you will attend an IAPT accredited training programme at Newcastle University and will submit required academic and client-based reports in line with the university training programme requirements.

You will be required to attend university in person and deliver in person clinical session within the service.

On successful completion of the training course it is expected that you will progress to employment as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner with CHCP NHS Hull Talking Therapies Let’s Talk Service.
