Summary
Morley Care Services Limited is recruiting for one of their supported living schemes in East Dene, Rotherham (S65). We are looking for kind, caring, efficient and highly motivated people to support adults with autism and learning disabilities within their own home and community.
The post involves providing one-to-one support and includes working evenings, weekends and bank holidays (including Christmas and New Year). Successful candidates will work 40 hours per week over a 2-week rolling rota. Ideally they will possess a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care and experience is preferred.
Duties include:
• Supporting people to live as independently as possible with support when required
• Supporting people with their preferred method of communication
• Providing personal care as required
• Supporting people with daily living tasks, including maintaining the home, cooking, cleaning, shopping and budgeting
• Supporting people with healthcare matters as required
• Maintaining links with family and friends
• Accessing opportunities and facilities within the community
• Supporting people with moving and handling needs
• Training and development in line with service requirements
• Accurately report and record data
• Working as part of a team
• Record keeping
Successful applicants will be required to apply for a DBS at an enhanced level. This will be at the cost of the employer. You will also be required to undertake training relevant to the position.
