What you will do:As an Early Years Foundation Stage Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons that follow the national curriculum and meet the needs, interests, experience, and existing knowledge of your pupils.
  • Teach a class, or classes, sets, groups, or individual pupils, and assign tasks to be completed both at school and elsewhere.
  • Mark and assess pupils' work and record their development, progress, and attainment, both at school and elsewhere.
  • Create and maintain an attractive and stimulating classroom environment and contribute to displays in the school.
  • Participate in whole-school reviews of policy and aims, and in the revision or formulation of guidelines.
  • Evaluate and review your own teaching methods, materials, and schemes of work, and make changes as appropriate.


Responsibilities and requirements:To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience in whole class teaching over a sustained period.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and experience in planning, delivering, and assessing The National Curriculum.
  • Understanding the principles of child protection in a primary school.
