Summary
TEACHING ASSISTANT – Supporting learners with severe learning difficulties and delivering learning (Grade 4)
This post will be paid on GO4 £16,970 (FTE £24,702)
Start Date: ASAP
Hours of work are: 8.30am – 3.15pm (30 hours per week + 2 days)
Weekly working days will be Monday to Friday – Term time only - Permanent

Ysgol Bryn Elian is an oversubscribed 11-18 secondary school occupying a stunning position in Old Colwyn, North Wales. We currently have approximately 1020 learners on roll with in excess of 150 in the Sixth Form. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, patient and committed member of staff to support some of our most vulnerable learners. You will need to be a good team player with a commitment to high quality, inclusive education and believe in our school motto of Achievement for All. Applicants should:
• Have experience of working with children of relevant age in a learning environment.
• Have good proven numeracy and literacy skills.
• Have the ability to relate well to children and adults.
• Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.
