The Governing Body of Ysgol Groes-wen Primary School is keen to appoint a lunchtime supremacist to support pupils. This is a golden opportunity to join forces with a brand new Danlli School. The school is looking for an innovative person, who is enthusiastic, dedicated and energetic.
The School is keen to be a focal point at the heart of its new community, offering a wealth of opportunities to bring new residents and their families together. The school will be a welcoming community School with a strong bilingual ethos located close to other local amenities focused on working with and for the brand new residential area in Cardiff.
The school will be the first of its kind in Cardiff and will be a pioneer with its offer of a new 'dual language' education stream alongside a Welsh stream. The school is therefore a two-stream access school and will offer 420 sites in total. In addition, there will be 96 part-time nursery provisions.
The new school to serve parts of North West Cardiff has been named Groes-wen Primary School. The School, located in the Plasdŵr development is on land south of Llantrisant Road.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are expected to enable collaboration with children, teachers and parents of the school. We are looking for a person who can lead the inclusive and child-centred vision of the school and to establish strong and excellent foundations already in place.
The successful candidate will be an excellent practitioner, have a particular understanding of supporting learning and teaching across the Primary sector and understand the ethos and principles of curriculum for Wales.
Although we are open to requests from all, previous experience is desirable. Applicants are asked to elaborate on their ability to contribute to the areas identified in their application letters.

This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement which brings pay rates up to £12 per hour (scp 2 - 4). This supplement will be reviewed in January 2024 and thereafter annually in April. Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage supplement.
