Summary


This role plays a key part in implementing the NHS LPP vision & strategy, approved by the NHS LPP Steering Board, Supporting the Workforce Category team in delivering the aspiration of the Board to become a world-class procurement partner of choice for the NHS and the wider public sector.

Interviews are currently planned for W/C 29 July.

Develop, lead and deliver on Workforce category and related strategies

Support Workforce category Assistant Director in the delivery of cost and efficiency savings, across a large number of London Trusts. Including analysing current spend information and development of the Procurement strategies.

To meet customer requirements by demonstrating best value for money, through compliance with category priorities and contracts, and by actively managing the market place through development of key strategies for supplier and contract management.Make commercial decisions and present plans and recommendations to key decision-makers and influencers at senior stakeholder and managementlevel.

To provide specialist advice on category specific procurement related matters.

To manage effectively Category Managers, Project Assistants and Data Analysts where required.

Please note that as an organisation NHS LPP has been hosted by Guy’s & St Thomas’ (GSTT) NHS Foundation Trust since 2012 and provides the legal framework and supporting services under which NHS LPP operates. However, NHS LPP is a membership organisation funded and governed by its members and not GSTT. NHS LPP staff are employed by GSTT.

Deliver ProcurementStrategy, research needs and complexities, plans and develop aviable business case for the pursuance of procurement projects in line with defined priorities for service improvement.

To implement procurement strategy and lead on assigned areas of the strategic plan and ensure that performance management systems are focused and utilised effectively to create the business case, meet governance requirements and achieve goals.

Ensures that local, regional and national procurement plans are integrated with categorymanagement. Including maximising contract compliance across the membership.

To consistently meet procurement targets relating to quality, value and innovation.

Ensure that key performance objectives are identified and strategies are in place and inform plans to enable procurement performance to bemonitored across the healtheconomy.

To manage effectively Category Managers, Project Assistants and Data Analysts where required.
