Summary

We are supporting our client in their search for an experienced Fire Testing Technician to join their busy team, situated between Dover and Canterbury.

Salary is highly competitive and hours are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, with an hour for lunch.

* Please note, you will need your own transport due to the location of the company - no public transport serves the village.

Duties will include:

  • Performing fire resistance tests on various products, in accordance with relevant BS, EN and ISO Standards using a variety of fire testing furnaces.
  • Monitoring fire test rigs and associated software, reporting any errors or malfunctions to the Manager.
  • Using equipment to complete tasks, such as measuring, analysis and recording of data (this role is pivotal to the success of the fire testing procedure).
  • Recording accurately the precise calibrations, readings, actions and output of the equipment, and manage the documentation required to ensure the calibration activities are carried out correctly.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Experience in Structural Engineering is essential.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
  • Degree educated or experience within a Structural Engineering role.
  • Excellent mathematical and numeracy skills
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbally, with excellent attention to detail.
