Brasenose College seeks to appoint a full-time Outreach and Schools Liaison Coordinator on a permanent basis. The Outreach and Schools Liaison Coordinator will work with the Head of Access and Retention to ensure the effective delivery of established outreach activities and to identify and implement new opportunities to further the College’s core academic objectives.
The Outreach and Schools Liaison Officers principal areas of responsibility will be the organisation of outreach/access events (involving direct contact with prospective students, parents/supporters, and teachers) for Brasenose, the Yorkshire and Humberside consortium of colleges, and the University. Participation in outbound outreach events will require travel from Oxford (including some overnight stays) and working some evenings. For these activities, time off in lieu is given. They will also work with the Admissions Officer during the annual undergraduate admissions round. The post-holder will be part of a College Office team of consisting of the Academic Administrator, the Graduate Administrator, the Academic Assistant Administrator, the Admissions Officer, and the Head of Access and Retention. They will be expected to be flexible within this team and to engage in a variety of areas of the College Office's work as required.
The successful candidate must be educated ideally to an undergraduate degree level (or possess equivalent work-related experience) preferably in a STEM subject, have excellent communication skills, be highly IT literate and have a keen eye for detail. You must also be adept at workload management, be very well organised and possess a highly systematic approach to work.
The appointment, which is pensionable, will be made on the Brasenose College Grade 5 salary scale £28,488 to £33,966 pa), depending on previous related experience.
