Summary
The Active Outdoor Team play a key role in welcoming people to our rowing boat hire stand and helping them safely hire a rowing boat. You'll spend most of the time working in the open beside the river or on the pontoon, meeting visitors, providing safety information, taking payment and helping people in and out of our rowing boats.
You'll join a friendly team of staff and volunteers who welcome thousands of visitors each year. People come to Flatford to enjoy the beautiful countryside, discover more about the property history and enjoy the facilities of the tea room and gift shop. Our aim is that every visitor should have a really positive welcome, so all our team, wherever they work, are focused on delivering brilliant customer service.
The Active Outdoor Role is quite physical - you'll spend a lot of time helping people in and out of rowing boats whilst standing on a floating pontoon. Being comfortable near or on water would be an advantage although you will wear life saving equipment at all times. You'll need to focused on delivering brilliant customer service, helping visitors to enjoy the rowing boats safely and easily. Each day you will have to set up the stall and work with colleagues to ensure all health and safety requirements are followed. You'll need to handle cash and use an electronic till.
