Are you passionate about enhancing young people’s careers? The School of Health Education and Care are looking for a lecturer who will inspire our learners to achieve their full potential during their time at West Herts College.

The right candidate will plan, deliver, and assess courses at levels 1, 2 & 3, as well as one of the most exciting courses within the health sector, the T Level in Supporting Healthcare (Adult Nursing).

The candidate will be responsible for delivering skills and knowledge to high standards. This will be achieved by preparing resources, delivering lessons, marking student work and supporting students with their whole programme of study.

We are seeking in an industry specialist to teach and embed essential skills. Learners will complete invaluable work experience placements as part of their study programme, which will launch them into a career in the health sector with skills and experiences that align with their chosen career path.

This opportunity exists for an individual who wants to work in a stimulating and challenging environment to inspire our students to achieve their best. The successful candidate will need to have essential skills required in adult nursing and scientific concepts as well as knowledge of social care and psychology. They will ideally have experience working with young people or apprentices either in a college or an educational setting, however an inspirational and motivational approach is essential to educate and inspire learners.

Applicants should have a degree or equivalent qualification in nursing and relevant vocational experience. A teaching qualification would be advantageous; however, we would offer full teacher training to the successful candidate.

The successful applicant will become part of a highly motivated team who are dedicated to raising standards and improving outcomes for all learners.
