Summary

This Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project aims to create a ground-breaking Multisided Platform for the remote work ecosystem, that will consolidate processes like vetting, hiring, onboarding and project management into one platform. Specifically designed for software engineers and technology employers, leveraging blockchain for secure and transparent employment solutions.

Index Soft Limited (ISL), formed in 2019, is a UK registered company, operating as a remote organisation. ISL connects high calibre software engineers mainly from South-East Europe with mature tech start-ups in the UK and US.

This KTP will directly address significant market demand for software engineering, offering a one-stop-shop recruitment solution for clients. The new embedded capabilities developed during the KTP will provide a genuine competitive advantage, plus enable continued innovation and agility to rapidly respond to opportunities, within the fast-paced tech sector.

This KTP is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to become a business change consultant/manager. You will work with senior University academics on a commercial project which puts theory and modelling into practice.

Candidate Profile: Minimum MSc in a Data Science related topic ideally with a focus on digital platforms and strategy. An MBA or PhD would be desirable.

Skills/ experience required include:

Essential

Expertise in digital strategy, multisided platforms, agile development and product development
Strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to translate research into actionable strategies
Industry experience with a focus on technology recruitment and product strategy
Desirable

Proficiency in design research, data strategy, design thinking and entrepreneurship
Innovative problem solver, excellent communicator, and adept in navigating global compliance issues
Main responsibilities:

Develop and implement a strategic framework for the recommended system
Lead product strategy including R&D, market analysis and experimentation
Guide corporate strategy initiatives, including identifying acquisition targets and conducting due diligence
Ensure legal compliance of the platform across multiple jurisdictions, including GDPR implementation
Collaborate with founders to define product revenue models and streamline financial processes
Personal attributes:

Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills. The ability to work within a cross-disciplinary project team
Leadership and maturity of communication and organisation skills to deliver the KTP project and ensure it achieves agreed milestones and objectives
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Strong desire to pursue innovative approaches and pathways
Ability to work closely with all stakeholders and establish an effective knowledge transfer process in the company

Aston University: You will work in a project team with Dr Donato Masi, Professor Joshua Ignatius and Dr Reza Marvi from Aston University and the Senior Management Team at Index Soft Limited with the support of the IUK’s Knowledge Transfer Adviser.

Location: You will be predominantly working from home (virtual) but will have access to Index Soft Limited offices in London and to facilities at Aston University in central Birmingham. Some travel to key clients may also be required.
