Summary
Head of SAP
Would managing teams responsible for varied projects across a large, complex SAP estate be an interesting challenge for you?
As the Head of SAP at Sodexo, you'll lead our Technical and Functional SAP teams, supporting them in enabling all areas of the Sodexo business, covering the business as usual functions of the SAP system as well as a range of critical projects and developing new solutions. You'll collaborate with various business areas across finance, HR, payroll & pensions to understand their requirements, manage demand and lead on the end-to-end projects. This is a great opportunity to work with talented, experienced SAP professionals and set strategy alongside the IT Leadership Team, which will include our move to S/4 HANA and other global initiatives.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee the inhouse SAP department, made up of functional and technical teams, interim contractors and third-party partners
- Plan and manage the demand schedule for SAP change projects, from small requests to major implementations & application upgrades, including the budgeting and recharge mechanisms for these
- Provide guidance to team members and senior stakeholders to develop and implement the IT strategy concerning SAP and associated processes
- Build trusted, cooperative working relationships with stakeholders and partners, both within the Sodexo IT function and across the wider business
What you bring:
- Proven team leadership experience, managing forecasting and workloads to ensure effective & efficient delivery
- SAP knowledge from hands-on experience, with work across finance and HR areas of SAP ECC
- A desire to work with a large, complex SAP environment with varied requirements and projects
- Understanding of IT Service Management, ideally with proven knowledge of ITIL
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal, to connect with a range of stakeholders
- The ability to gain UK SC clearance
- Regular travel to our Sodexo Salford office will be required, typically 1-2 says per fortnight
