An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced small animal Vet to join an exceptional team at an award-winning, RCVS accredited single site practice located in the beautiful city of Hereford. Known for its picturesque countryside, rolling hills, historic architecture, and the serene River Wye, Hereford offers a perfect blend of tradition and modernity.

Our client is seeking a dedicated Vet for part-time hours. In this role, you will work closely with the rest of the team, providing clinical support and guidance as needed while managing your own cases. Primarily focused on clinical work, the position also offers opportunities for managerial involvement for those interested.

The practice boasts modern facilities equipped with the latest technology, including an In-house laboratory, Digital X-ray, multi-parameter anaesthetic monitoring equipment, Ultrasound, ECG, doppler blood pressure machine, and K-laser. The practice also hosts regular cardiology clinics with a visiting cardiologist and orthopaedic surgeries performed by a visiting orthopaedic surgeon.

You will be joining a dedicated team of 6 Vets, 8 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 1 ANA, and a wonderful support team. The practice prides itself on its collaborative and supportive approach, always striving to provide the best possible care for patients and clients.

The practice supports advanced learning programmes such as certificates and offers in-house support for medical or surgical case development. Currently, two vets are pursuing certificates in surgery and oncology.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced and confident vet, capable of supporting and teaching colleagues and aiding in the development of their clinical skills. The ability to remain calm in potentially difficult situations, communicate clearly, work well within a team, and lead the team in clinical development while collaborating closely with the senior management team is essential.

The Rota:
• Part Time role - 2 day week
• Shift: 8am - 7pm
• 1:5 weekend rota (8:30am - 5pm on Saturday and availability for inpatients on Sunday)
• There will be 2-3 additional Saturday mornings per year required, 9 am to 1 pm
• No OOH
