Job Details

  • Agreeing and formalising a straightforward and effective incident management process for the department, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are aware and engaged in the process as needed
  • Coordinating across all relevant teams and stakeholders in the vent of an impacting incident to quickly ascertain impact levels for customers, colleagues and the business, communicating between the departmental teams and the wider Hastings Direct incident and crisis teams
  • Coordinating and leading post-incident reviews, ensuring any learnings from incidents can be used to improve processes and controls to prevent future instances, along with any risk and business continuity updates
  • Logging all incidents on the relevant platform and feeding back summary information to relevant Process Improvement Leads and any other relevant stakeholders to ensure full feedback loops for awareness and further improvement
  • Working with senior stakeholders for each process to ensure clear, straightforward and easily accessible business continuity plans are in place, aligned to customer, colleague and business requirements, with all relevant parties aware of any actions needed in the event of a business interruption
  • Driving through any business continuity actions needed across all processes to ensure these are fully effective, with clear understanding across all contributing stakeholders and owners





Skills we would love you to have

  • Experience of operational incident management, ideally within Claims, Insurance, Utilities or Financial Services
  • The ability to quickly summarise, risk assess and prioritise immediate impact and requirements and able to remain calm and lead coordination efforts in intense situations
  • The confidence to engage and clearly communicate with stakeholders at all levels

Salary - Attractive salary based on experience + car allowance (pay reviews also completed each year)
