We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate to the role of Apprentice Children's Outpatient Receptionist to provide a high level administrative service to all patients and staff within the department.

This role would consist of 37.5 hours per week to be worked as a 9:00am - 5:00pm shift Monday through Friday to provide administrative support to the clinicians using this area.

Apprenticeships are designed to give talented people an opportunity to gain a nationally recognized qualification while completing on the job training. You will be supported to learn and develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours you need to perform in the job role. You will also have study time allocated within your working hours to gain your qualification.



This position is on a fixed term contract with the opportunity to be offered a permanent position once the qualification is successfully completed and achieved. Please be advised if you already hold a relevant qualification in this subject area at this level or higher you are not eligible to apply. Eligibility for an apprenticeship : Candidates will be asked to provide evidence of Maths and English certificates and also confirmation that they have been resident for at least 3 years in the UK

The post holder will join a team of highly performing receptionists and administrators who oversee the reception provision of our Children's Outpatient department. The post holder will join the main reception team and will be responsible for ensuring all patients are welcomed into the department, registered for their appointment, have their demographics checked for updated information, have their appointment outcome in a timely manner, and work with the Patient Pathway Coordination team to ensure follow-up appointments and referrals are booked/completed at the earliest opportunity.



For this role you will undertake a 19-month development programme in Customer Service within Paediatrics, through work-based learning and by attending regular training sessions. Successfully completing the training programme will lead to an Intermediate Apprenticeship Level 2.
