Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of clinical negligence claims, providing expert legal advice, and delivering outstanding client service. This role requires in-depth legal knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to handle complex and sensitive cases with empathy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management: Handle a diverse caseload of clinical negligence claims from inception to resolution, including birth injuries, surgical errors, misdiagnosis, and delayed diagnosis cases.
Client Interaction: Provide compassionate and clear legal advice to clients, maintaining regular communication and managing their expectations throughout the legal process.
Document Preparation: Draft, review, and file legal documents, including letters of claim, witness statements, expert reports, and court bundles, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court rules and procedures.
Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations into clinical negligence claims, gathering and analyzing medical records, liaising with medical experts, and assessing the merits of each case.
Negotiation and Settlement: Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, striving to achieve the best possible outcomes while minimizing costs and risks.
Court Representation: Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and other dispute resolution proceedings as necessary.
Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and ensure up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
Billing and Time Recording: Accurately record time spent on cases and manage billing processes in line with firm policies.
Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements, maintaining high standards of professional conduct and confidentiality.
