As the driving force behind this journey, you will lead and motivate the Regional Account Managers, promoting the mission of the FDP. Providing hands-on assistance to the Trusts in greatest need, your efforts will have a meaningful impact. You will be instrumental in streamlining operations, from facilitating easier appointment scheduling to shortening waiting times for services. Your work will not only enhance efficiency but also significantly improve the healthcare experience for all involved.

Role Scope:
• Full-Time Engagement: 37.5 hours per week in a permanent capacity
• This role requires travel for essential activities, such as initiating partnerships with new trusts and directly interacting with trust executives across London Regions.
• Visits to our central office in Waterloo, London, are essential for strategic team meetings, ensuring a strong connection with the wider FDP team.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the strategic oversight and delivery of the Federated Data Platform across assigned Trusts. This includes managing all phases of the lifecycle and ensuring alignment with overarching NHS digital strategies.

· You will work at a senior level with technology providers to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to Trust-level delivery, fostering strong partnerships for enhanced service delivery.

· Oversee and provide executive leadership to the Regional Account Manager and Regional Business Readiness Manager, ensuring strategic alignment and effective team performance.

· Development and Leadership of Trust Implementation Plans: Lead the creation of detailed Trust Technical Implementation Plans, ensuring clear definition of roles and responsibilities across all facets of technical, operational, and clinical teams.

· Oversee and manage the interdependencies across various teams and departments, ensuring a coordinated approach to project delivery.

· Establish and lead local governance structures for effective management and reporting of pilot programs, aligning with NHS governance standards.

· Direct the onboarding process for new Trusts, ensuring all legal and operational requirements are met for the Federated Data Platform delivery.

Knowledge and Skills:

· Strategic Regional Oversight: Demonstrated experience in overseeing regional delivery of large-scale NHS England programs. Proficiency in aligning regional objectives with national healthcare strategies, ensuring cohesive operational execution across multiple Trusts.

· Exceptional Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing regional teams, with a focus on mentoring and fostering a culture of excellence. Capacity to inspire teams across diverse geographical areas.

· Deep understanding of the complexities of regional healthcare systems, with experience in implementing impactful IT and digital healthcare solutions at a regional scale.

· Strong track record in identifying regional healthcare challenges and deploying innovative strategies and solutions that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

· Exceptional skills in engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, including local health authorities, government bodies, and healthcare teams, coupled with strong communication abilities for clear and impactful messaging.

· Proficiency in applying agile methodologies and lean principles in a dynamic healthcare environment, adapting to regional needs and guiding teams through agile practices.

Education & Qualifications:

· A postgraduate degree in a relevant field such as Management Studies, or an equivalent level qualification, or significant experience in a similar senior-level specialist area.

· Project Management Qualifications like PRINCE2, Agile, or MSP are highly desirable. Agile methodologies (such as Scrum Master, SAFe), or Lean Six Sigma are also desirable.

· Completion of relevant NHS Leadership Academy programs or similar leadership development training is advantageous.

· Candidates should possess extensive experience in a senior management role within the NHS or a similar healthcare setting. This experience should demonstrate a proven ability to successfully lead regional or large-scale healthcare projects.

· Familiarity with healthcare IT systems, data analytics platforms, and contemporary digital healthcare solutions.
