Summary

Lancashire Wildlife Trust is the largest nature conservation body in the area. We are looking for a Recovery Manager to join and lead our Greater Manchester team to help us realise our conservation objectives on our existing nature reserves.

Our nature recovery work in such an urban area is critical to realising two of our key strategic goals – ‘30% of land and sea is in recovery’ and ‘1 in 4 people are taking action for nature’. You will have the opportunity and responsibility to make a significant difference for wildlife and people in Greater Manchester.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to help co-ordinate and drive forward nature recovery programmes in the region. You will need to have the ambition and skills to begin new collaborative partnerships and nurture existing ones, representing the Trust at strategic meetings and advocating for land management practices which support nature’s recovery.

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for collaborative work to deliver positive outcomes for nature, with an understanding of its importance for urban areas. If you have experience in leading teams, combined with high levels of motivation, courage and creativity we would love to hear from you.

We offer 28 days holidays plus bank holidays per annum, increasing with length of service. A friendly and flexible working environment with the chance to be a part of the largest nature conservation body in the area, working together to improve our region for nature as well as engaging and inspiring people to connect and take action for wildlife.
