Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC042421. It was established by Dundee City Council in July 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information and cultural services for the city.

We have opportunities for either a full time or part posts available at various library locations across the city.

Post 256681, Coldside / Arthurstone Libraries, 37 hrs

Post 256632, Central Library, Leisure Reading Dept, 18.5 hrs

Post 257501, Fintry Library, 19 hrs

Post 257522, Kirkton Library, 19 hrs

The posts are fixed term for 12 months.

Requirements

You will have 3 National 4 Passes or equivalent to include English.

Responsibilities

As part of Leisure & Culture Dundee’s Library and Information Service provide an efficient, responsive and courteous service to the users of the Service.

The Individual

You will have good communication, organisational and IT skills and a demonstrated enthusiasm and interest in books and libraries.

You will have an interest and skill in working with people and the ability to deal with stressful situations. You will demonstrate a flexible approach and be required to participate in events and activities including reading groups, storytelling sessions, Bookbug sessions, holiday activities and IT training sessions.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Leisure & Culture Dundee.
