About the role
In this role, you will provide dedicated cyber security support to all staff and students who use the TEC Partnership’s IT systems and services and ensure cyber security best practices are reviewed, implemented, and maintained across all systems.
About the person
The successful candidate will have well-developed interpersonal and presentational skills including the ability to relate to a wide range of audiences including learners, staff, and other stakeholders. You will need to be a team player and react positively challenges. You need to have personal drive and enthusiasm and be able to work flexible hours, as some unsocial hours will be expected.
You will need to have specialist knowledge in the following areas:
Significant knowledge of Cyber Security principals and best practice.
Significant knowledge and experience using security appliances including firewalls.
Significant knowledge and experience of operating systems.
Knowledge of Windows Active Directory.
Knowledge of backup solutions and principals.
Knowledge of Disaster Recovery principles and Business Continuity best practice.
Knowledge of cloud-based and local network services and infrastructure.
You will need to have experience in the following areas:
Significant experience using a range of cyber security vulnerability and assessment tools.
Experience using mobile device and application management solutions including Microsoft Intune.
Remediation and mitigation of threats.
Experience of working as part of a large team.
Experience working on large networks.
Experience of change management.
Experience of disaster recovery planning and testing.
Experience of project management and working to tight deadlines.
Experience of data protection and other associated IT legislations.
Candidates should also have:
Minimum Level 4 in relevant subject areas.
Cyber Security related certifications / accreditation.
IT related certification / accreditation.
