Requirements for the Unit Nurse Manager role:
  • Nursing qualification (RGN/RMN/RNLD)
  • Active NMC PIN
  • Clear DBS
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Good working knowledge of CQC regulations
  • Proven track record of leading a Nursing team and delivery of person-centred care, including care planning


About the Nursing Home:

This beautiful service is located to the north of Plymouth; It is convenient public transport. This is a purpose built care home providing nursing and social care for older people who are physically frail, and older people who have mental health needs such as Alzheimer's disease.

The role of a Unit Nurse Manager within the Nursing Home involves:
  • Being responsible for leading, directing and supporting the Nursing and Care team
  • Managing rotas, ensuring there is sufficient cover at all times
  • Actively recruit and maintain good staffing levels
  • Mentoring junior members of staff
  • Ensuring all staff complete mandatory and required training
  • Carrying out staff supervisions and appraisals
  • Ensuring Unit is compliant with CQC and internal policies
  • Managing and monitor medication processes and compliance
  • Completing all relevant audits to ensure internal and external compliance
