Role Information:

A 'Good' school in Preston are seeking a dedicated member of staff to join their team. They are seeking someone with experience and a passion for working within education. This is a post where the school are looking for someone that can commit to this role and with an opportunity of going onto contract with the school.

You will be required to work alongside the classroom teacher, who is keen to involve the support staff in all her lesson plans to ensure the pupils are getting the desired support they need. The class has a mixture of abilities and some children pose some behavioural difficulties, but the school and teacher have systems in place to ensure child safety is always the priority.

This role will vary in regards to working with a multitude of pupils within the Year 6 class, some of which are SEN pupils. This will not be a one-to-one role but does require someone who has experience working with differing needs and abilities.

With this being a Year 6 TA role, you will be required to work with small groups covering the core subjects (Maths, English and Science). You will need a good base knowledge of the curriculum and feel comfortable and confident leading small teaching groups.
