Job Opportunity: PE Teacher (SEMH)

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands (B15)

Start Date: September 2024

About the Role:

Are you a dedicated and passionate educator? We are seeking a PE Teacher to join our specialist school in Birmingham, catering to KS3 and KS4 students with SEMH needs. The school is conveniently located and easily accessible via public transport.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare PE lessons in line with the mainstream pay scale (MPS).
- Engage pupils in physical education activities.
- Support the social, emotional, and personal wellbeing of students.
- Manage and encourage positive behavior in a supportive environment.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold QTS - ECT/NQT candidates are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience working within a school setting.
- Experience with children and/or adults with SEN is desirable.
- Understanding of Special Educational Needs, or a willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of the role of a teacher in an alternative provision.
