Summary
Are you an enthusiastic and passionate social worker wanting to improve the lives of people with a learning disability? Do you understand the importance of a strengths- based approach to practice to enable people with a learning disability and/or autistic spectrum disorders to live as independently as possible in their local community? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Community Learning Disabilities Team (CLDT) in the beautiful, rural community of Monmouthshire. We are an experienced, supportive and ambitious team who strive to achieve the best outcomes for people with a learning disability. The team consists of both health and social care staff who work hard to support people to live their own lives, and help them achieve the outcomes that matter to them, in accordance with the Social Services and Wellbeing Act (Wales) 2014.
We are looking for a highly motivated, reflective and creative social work professional with strong social work values to join the Community Learning Disabilities Team covering the North of the County and based at Maindiff Court Hospital, Abergavenny with occaisional work in the South of the County.You will work as part of a small team with a manageable caseload. You will be a strong team player with great communication skills and a commitment to working collaboratively with all stakeholders. You will hold a professional social work qualification and be registered with Social Care Wales.
