Sports Development Officer

28 hours per week
Temporary up to 31 March 2027
£29,148 - £31,265 pro rata / £15.97 - £17.13 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)

A Sport Development Officer is required to promote, develop, coordinate a thriving sports culture and increasing participation by providing opportunities and programmes to all ages and areas within our community.

You should have experience in working in sports and physical activity or relevant area and working with schools, clubs and community groups/organisations.

You should have a minimum of 5 years previous relevant experience or hold a qualification at SCQF 8/9 i.e SVQ4, HND, General Degree or Higher Apprenticeship.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.

This post is subject to Basic Disclosure Scotland clearance.
