Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Adolescent Team in Hammersmith and Fulham (H&F) CAMHS, 48 Glenthorne Road W6 0LS.

The Adolescent Team is part of the Specialist H&F CAMH Service, which also includes a neurodevelopmental team, learning disability team and child and family team. The Service also links to a comprehensive Community CAMH Service,CAMHS Crisis Prevention/Care Team (ALLIANCE) and a CAMHS Eating Disorder Service. The post holder will be part of a growing team of clinicians with a special interest and expertise in working with children, and young people, who are presentingwith complex mental health needs.



The Clinical Nurse Specialist will also join a thriving team of supportive, committed and skilled nurses who are dedicated to changing the future outcomes for children and young people who present to mental health services.



Training in Advanced Assessment and Non-Medical Prescribing will be offered to the successful applicant



The Clinical Nurse Specialist will work as an autonomous clinicianandcarry out specialistCAMHS assessments of children, young people and their families with significant and complex problemsanddocument the outcome of these assessments, providing formulation, diagnosis, and recommendations for interventions. In addition, they will offer a range of individual, family and group therapeutic interventions, including risk management, appropriate for children and young people attending the Service.

In addition, the post holder will form part of the CAMHS Nursing Supervision Structure and will offer supervision and line management to CAMH Nurses. They will also have the opportunity to be involved in service development, audit, research and quality improvement projects.
