Summary
An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a committed Occupational Therapist to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Attleborough, Norfolk area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers
This hospital is a large bedded mental health centre which provides care to adolescents and young adults, aged 12 upwards, who have complex needs, including acute mental illness and developmental disorders
**To be considered for this position you must be registered with the HCPC and be qualified as an Occupational Therapist**
As an Occupational Therapist your key responsibilities include:
• Carry out OT assessments to identify patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate interventions on either an individual or group basis
• Manage and co-ordinate individual OT treatment plans facilitate groups and oversee the unit programmes
• Write up regular OT reports and to attend multi-disciplinary meetings
• Ensure effective and efficient management of occupational therapy assistants
• Provide clinical supervision to member of the occupational therapy team
• Develop close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues ensuring clinical practice is in line with policies and procedures and complies with statutory regulations and quality standards
• Maintain effective communication links with patients, relatives and carers
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
• A detailed understanding of statutory regulations is essential
• Financial and people management skills
• Experience in a rehabilitation setting and experience of working within mental health services
• Good personal organisational skills and effective communication skills
The successful Occupational Therapist will receive an excellent annual salary up to £36,000 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
