Summary

We are currently seeking an interim Product Master Data Expert, to work with our global FMCG client, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.

The position is based in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. This is a full-time temporary role to run for 6 months, requiring 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £43,000 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.

The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.

About the role & Responsibilities:

  • Understand the organisation, process and systems for New Line form creation and support and how it integrates with all upstream and downstream systems and processes.
  • Working knowledge of GS1 guidelines and rules for barcoding and packaging legislation desirable
  • First point of contact for masterdata queries and regulations
  • Ensure any relevant master data is maintained accurately and is available for provision to Customers within agreed turnaround timings
  • Support to CD (Customer Development) understanding Customer requirements and service model
  • Work with Masterdata teams to ensure continuous improvements.
  • Maintain complete and accurate process documentation in a timely manner to reflect the latest version of IT and process design used by UK
  • Provide user support to internal users and partner organisation and be the point of escalation for matters users are struggling to resolve.
  • Complete tasks as defined in the process design, where inputs, approvals or actions are required to be completed by an employee.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and lead the change management through proactive engagement with users.
  • Participate in regional and global projects, gathering user input, senior stakeholder guidance and representing the UKI in the design and implementation project teams.
  • Lead small to medium size projects within UK and Ireland on either replacements or improvements to systems and/or processes.
  • Review total process performance and address any bottlenecks within the process and retrain/escalate where individuals breach the SLAs. Examples include reporting turnaround times vs. SLAs and analysing tickets / workflow tools within their scope.

Key requirements:

  • Industry Experience - Background in Supply Chain, Master data or Finance desirable.
  • Attention to Detail - is passionate about accuracy and validation of data
  • Process Leadership & Right First Time mindset - Passion and determination to simplify and deliver great Customer and user experience. Experience of leading or participating in UAT
  • Digitally Savvy - Ability to envisage and deliver the benefits of digitisation and process integration Strong digital and data analytics skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of SAP to achieve the end to end process.
  • Capable Influencer - Confident networking and with partners. Strong communication skills and ability to adapt style to influence technical and user communities. Ability to prepare and present face to face and online training materials
  • Project and Change Management - Practitioner in Agile Methodology and able to manage detailed project implementation plans.
  • Process Driven - sees the value in getting things right first time and organises ways of working to make this happen in a repeatable way.
  • Analytical Skills - Uses data to drive insight, quickly able to identify to identify problems, root causes, and solutions. Effective at prioritising these for maximum return on time spent.
  • Technology Advocate - embraces new technology, seeks to understand how it works in depth and leads for the use of standardised tools within their team.
