Hello, I am Dina, and I work in the Radiopharmacy team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our small, dedicated team as a Radiopharmacy Technician.
Join us and you'll be working for a world renowned centre of clinical excellence and one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the UK.
You will be responsible for carrying out technical duties required for provision of radiopharmaceuticals to the Trust.
You will provide core technical support to radiopharmacy team. Radiopharmacy holds a Specials manufacturing license to supply diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals to several clinical areas within the Trust. The post holder will undertake manufacturing of radiopharmaceuticals, QC of radiopharmaceuticals, packing for transport, aseptic cleaning of premises and equipment, waste management, environmental monitoring, and accurate record keeping as per GMP.
This work has a direct impact on patient imaging and therapeutic procedures and requires the post holder to liaise with a wide range of staff in Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, Medical Physics and with external equipment/product manufacturers and other organisations.
This is a progressive linked post moving from Band 4 to Band 5 on completion of initial training and fulfilment of competencies. Previous experience within a Nuclear Medicine or Pharmacy environment would be advantageous but not essential as full in-house training will be provided.
