Summary
The post holder in addition to the core responsibilities above the post holder will: Work as an independent practitioner and member of the safeguarding team across the health community. Reviews financial information i.e in relation to Looked After Children health assessments to ensure that they are consistent with statutory guidelines Advise and support health colleagues in the clinical assessment and care of children in care and children and young people where there are safeguarding concerns, as part of own clinical role, whilst being clear about others personal clinical professional accountability. Assess and evaluate evidence, write reports and present sensitive and highly complex information to child or adult centred meetings which may include audiences of large numbers of multi-agency partners. Provide advice and signposting to other professionals about legal processes, key research and policy documents. Provide effective reflective safeguarding supervision for colleagues within the ICB , Primary care and other provider health organisations safeguarding professionals. Contribute to safeguarding peer supervision and supervision training. Contribute to the development and delivery of specific training packages for ICB and primary care practitioners in relation to Children in Care and safeguarding children.
