Summary

The post-holder is required, under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner Psychologist, to work directly with service users and carers to assess their needs for any evidence-based psychological interventions. The post-holder will co-ordinate and assist in the development and delivery of groups as the service requires and will also be required to occasionally work individually with service users and their family/carers to deliver evidence-based psychological interventions. The post-holder will work jointly with a registered practitioner psychologist and offer training jointly to other mental health workers to enable and support the delivery of psychologically informed care. The post-holder will undertake administrative, audit and service evaluation tasks as directed and deliver reports and presentations associated with any such undertakings as required. There are several posts as full time and part time available. Although you will be based at a specific location within the CRHTT, you may be required to attend other locations within the trust. There is flexibility to attend to certain tasks from your home environment where agreed. The "must haves" for you to be considered for this role: An upper second class (2:1) honours degree or higher in psychology (with entitlement to graduate membership of BPS) Able to demonstrate additional interest and/ or learning in relevant areas of applied psychology and mental health practice. Previous experience working with people with any of the following: mental health difficulties; neurological difficulties and learning disabilities. High level communication skills (written and verbal) including an ability to communicate and work in settings in which the atmosphere may be highly emotional.
