Summary

Design Engineer | Hereford | 37 hours per week Monday to Friday | £34,000 - £37,000pa DOE

Denco Fluid Systems Limited is renowned as a leader in the design and manufacture of bespoke oil recirculation systems, heavy-duty grease systems, cooling water systems and specialised Hellan strainer & filtration products & systems.

The Design Engineer will work alongside the Sales and Contracts team to develop and design bespoke systems. The process begins with a P&ID and GA and then subsequent detailed drawings to facilitate full manufacture in the Denco workshop.

You will need to be proactive and versatile, with a good knowledge of your profession and have the confidence and ability to undertake and perform accurately and efficiently in line with manufacturing demands.

Are you the right person for us?

• Experienced in the use of 3D Solid works/Auto Cad
• To support the design and development for fabrication and testing, focused on the individual components and materials of the product’s design for the purpose of procurement
• To ensure that products are developed to achieve compliance with design objectives and specifications, by liaising with the team, clients and consultants
• Resolving manufacturing issues in the early stages of product design and development by liaising with internal departments
• Maintain accurate content in drawing registers and all electronic storage of files as per the BMS
• Supporting the development of new products

What will your role as a Design Engineer look like?

• Good eye for detail and knowledge of manufacturing techniques to ensure accurate drawings
• Proven experience in developing products in the relevant environment
• Ability to develop designs within a constantly evolving technology
• Proven ability to be self-motivated and able to remain calm and professional in a busy working environment
• Ability to work on own initiative with excellent organisation, time management and planning skills
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
• To build good relationships with all colleagues and be able to advise and support them in the manufacturing process
• Must have experience in this field, for 3+ years
• Relevant qualifications in engineering design
