About us:

Harley Haddow is a leading engineering consultancy, renowned for delivering high-quality and efficient Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design solutions. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated CAD/Revit Technician to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse projects and ensure excellence in drawing preparation and design implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

Drawing Preparation:
- Prepare mechanical and electrical drawings from designs undertaken by MEP engineers.
- Create models and drawings from hand drawings, sketches, or part layouts prepared by others.
- Ensure all MEP drawings produced adhere to BIM/CAD standards and are of high quality.
- Use Revit for modelling on BIM projects.
- Produce MEP design drawings for issue to external parties to meet agreed programmes and deadlines.

Document Management:
- Archive and file all drawings produced by Harley Haddow.
- Manage the receipt, filing, and archiving of incoming drawings from other design team members.
- Plot all drawings in coordination with the BIM department.

General Duties:
- Provide general engineering assistance, including scanning, PDF creation, and setting up drawings.
- Maintain up-to-date First Aid training and perform monthly checks on first aid supplies (if applicable).

Software Proficiency:
- Utilise and develop an understanding of necessary design software, including Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Word, and Excel.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Manage the digital storage and reproduction of incoming and design drawings issued for projects.
- Adhere to BIM/CAD standards and layering conventions on all drawings produced by Harley Haddow.
- Ensure the quality and presentation of models and drawings are maintained and improved.
- Follow company quality, environment, and health and safety (H&S) accredited standards.
- Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety.
- Co-operate with your employer on health and safety matters.

Qualifications and Experience:

- HND/HNC qualified in BIM/CAD draughting or engineering.

- Good IT skills with experience in the MS Office Suite.

- Strong people skills and ability to work well in a team.
