Summary

Are you a 2024 ECT still seeking the right permanent opportunity or perhaps an experienced English supply Teacher looking for the stability of a 12-month contract which includes pay over the holidays ? We would like to hear from you.

Hays are working in partnership with a vibrant Sheffield secondary school which has a wide catchment area, a diverse student population with significant EAL support. Recently rated by Ofsted as "Good", this school is ambitious for its students and therefore achieves great progress scores. The school is based in a modern, purpose built facility with excellent sports and leisure provision. With a new and experienced Principal in September 2024, the school has ambitious plans for the coming academic year.

To work within an experienced English department, the incoming teacher will be responsible for teaching KS3/KS4 students from year 7 - 10. If you have already gained experience in EAL strategies and you would like to become involved in supporting pupils in this aspect, this would also be welcomed.

In order to apply for this post, you will need:

  • To possess Right To Work permanently in the UK (my school cannot offer sponsorship)
  • Full UK Qualified Teacher Status (or be pending following your PGCE)
  • Have teaching experience in the UK (via placements or paid employment)
  • Be located in or relocating to a commutable distance of Sheffield
  • Be available to start a post in September 2024.
