Summary
The principal responsibility of the Operative is to work under the Senior Contracts Manager, carry out works installing pitched roof systems such as Tiling, Slating and Solar Installation to organise and carry out site activities as required and to be responsible for the squad on site
Work available across Highlands, Moray and Aberdeenshire
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor all aspects of Health and Safety of the squad on site
• Organise material and labour to meet the sites needs.
• Deal with any Customer Care issues in an effective and timeous manner
MAIN ACTIVITIES
• Tiling, Slating and Solar Installation
• To ensure good working relationships with customers and clients to generate repeat business and promote MCS as a professional roofing contractor.
• Ensure that all activities on site are carried out in accordance with Health and Safety legislation, company procedures and customers Health and Safety procedures.
• Carry out Health and Safety training with the workforce.
• Ensure materials used are to the required standards and report any defects to the supplier.
• Monitor quality on site and within the squad to ensure compliance with contract specification.
• To keep an accurate record of plant and equipment within the squad
• Carry out periodic inspections of plant and equipment.
• Attend to Customer Care issues in a professional and timeous manner.
• Carry out other duties as deemed necessary, which are within the job holder’s capability.
The Operative will be self-motivated, organised, enthusiastic and personable with good people skills, leadership within the squad and committed to the Health and safety.
CSCS card essential
Full UK Driving Licence Desired but not essential
