Summary
This post will be primarily based at Academic Centre, College Keep 4-12 Terminus Terrace, Southampton SO14 3DT, working flexibly also from University Hospital Southampton, as part of the Faculty Operating Service (FOS), Faculty of Medicine. The FOS is a professional service to the University led by the Associate Director of Faculty Operations (ADoFO's). The service works with Faculty Deaneries and Senior Leadership Teams to support those areas of work which provide essential services to the Faculty core business and underpins the achievement of the strategic objectives of the University.
As an Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to senior academic staff within the School of Clinical and Experimental Sciences, within the Faculty of Medicine.
You will apply a good working understanding of administrative systems to answer queries and resolve a range of problems from colleagues and external customers. You will be expected to assist the Senior Administrator and the Operations Manager with the delivery of School and Faculty tasks or projects where necessary.
This job share position is offered as 18 hours per week on a fixed part-time basis for 2 years in the first instance.
You must have previous experience within an administrative role and be able to work independently, to manage workload and meet tight deadlines, and work as part of a team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role and awareness of University processes and regulations would be an advantage.
