Summary
Job OverviewTo champion customer care and service to all visitors to Festival Place ensuring that the Customer Lounge is the focal point for all customer and retailer requirements. Supporting the Car Park team with customer related issues, such as help with payment machine daily checks and issue resolving.
Main Duties
-Champion customer service by providing high quality information and assistance, including town centre information as required.
-Assist in the day-to-day operation of the Customer Lounge and Car Park, ensuring that excellent standards of customer service and care are given at all times.
-Ensure appearance and actions are professional whilst carrying out daily tasks and requirements.
-Ensure the Customer Lounge opens and closes at agreed times.
-Manage customer comments and questions professionally, escalating to the Duty Manager as required.
-Highlight any common issues being experienced by customers.
-Create any temporary signage promptly and in line with the brand requirements.
-Ensure cash handling and employee safety procedures are adhered to.
-Take a leading role in reuniting lost children with their guardians.
-Take telephone calls and messages for the Management Team and distribute efficiently.
-Issue Star Cards and Gift Cards.
-Ensure leaflets, brochures and posters are up to date and stock is available for customers at all times.
-Carry out group tours of Festival Place as required.
-Assist the Business Performance Manager with Retailer communication.
-Assist the Marketing and Duty Teams with special events and promotions as required.
-Highlight any health and safety issues to the Duty Manager and to those who may be in breach of requirements.
-Attend to any incidents that occur under the direction and management of the Duty Manager and Duty Controller as required.
-Ensure all operational policies and procedures are efficiently carried out and compliant.
What we are looking for
-Educated to GCSE level or above.
-Knowledge and ability to use IT systems including MS office.
-Ability to influence and liaise with others.
-Disciplined and professional attitude
-Ability to work within established procedures and contribute positively to any improvements.
-Ability to listen and demonstrate creative thinking skills.
-Understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act
-Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and use own initiative.
-Team player
-Strong written and verbal communication and ability to flex style to meet needs to different business units.
-Ability to work autonomously and make own decisions.
-Flexible and adaptable approach to workload
-Building relationships
-Working closely with the rest of the operational team in the business and across the wider Mitie community
-Working closely with other support services when required
