Job Overview
Sutton Housing Partnership is seeking 2 dedicated and experienced Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our team as SHP-MOBILE ESTATE OFFICERS. The successful candidates will have a strong background in horticulture and be skilled in using motorized tools such as hedge cutters and strimmers. This role is crucial in maintaining the aesthetics and safety of our housing estates.
Key Responsibilities
Perform grounds maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and weeding.
Operate motorized tools such as hedge cutters, strimmers, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
Conduct routine inspections of grounds and report any issues to the supervisor.
Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a safe working environment.
Assist in planting, watering, and general upkeep of green spaces within the housing estates.
Collaborate with team members to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and report daily progress to the Client Manager.
Requirements
Proven experience in grounds maintenance and horticulture.
Basic knowledge of Health & Safety practices in a similar work environment.
Proficiency in operating motorized gardening tools such as hedge cutters and strimmers.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor.
