Summary

Join us as an Electronic Trading Quant

  • This is an opportunity to join our Electronic Trading (e-trading) Quant team who provide quantitative expertise across Foreign Exchange (FX) and Fixed Income (FI) e-trading desks
  • You’ll be primarily involved in implementation and back-testing, but also research and data analysis
  • You’ll enjoy lots of collaboration in this role, as you work closely with colleagues in the wider quantitative analytics teams and with our partners in trading and technology

What you'll do

As an e-trading Quant, you’ll be a principal contributor to the development of our core frameworks for building and testing e-trading algorithms. You'll also assist and advise on the implementation of e-trading algorithms across FX and FI, as well as the full spectrum of trading activities.

We’ll expect you to work closely with members of the team and provide day-to-day support for our junior e-trading quants.

In addition, you’ll be:

  • Writing code to develop the capabilities of our core frameworks and the back-testing tooling around it
  • Assisting the rest of e-trading quant team in getting the most out of this tooling in their efforts to build and improve our suite of algorithms
  • Pro-actively identifying areas for improvement and consolidation within our algorithms and core frameworks
  • Working with our partners in technology to help integrate our frameworks with the relevant technology platforms
  • Involved in implementing e-trading algorithms to improve existing algorithms through research and data analysis

The skills you'll need

To join us in this role, you'll have experience of developing e-trading algorithms in an asset class such as FI or FX, along with a strong interest in automation and quantitative excellence within the e-trading domain.

In addition, you'll have a desire for innovation and learning, and experience in supervising or supporting junior colleagues. Excellent quantitative and technical or software engineering skills would be advantageous.

You’ll also need:

  • Strong coding skills, preferably with Java
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in managing and running the code within a production environment
  • Experience in Python and working with Cloud providers
