Hire Co-Ordinator
- Leeds Welcome to TRU East:The Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) aims to deliver faster, longer, more frequent, and more reliable services across the north of England, from Newcastle, Hull and York towards Manchester and Liverpool via Leeds. The aim of the TRU East Alliance is to transform the East of Leeds route allowing people to travel faster, more reliably and in greater comfort between the North’s great cities. Providing passengers with more choice, more seats, and better facilities on a safer, cleaner, more environmentally friendly railway.
The Hire Coordinator provides high level support to the Civils & Logistics Teams. Working within a team environment this role is pivotal, providing high quality organisational and administrative support. Within the Alliance, the role may be required to take on several ad-hoc projects as the Project and Alliance develops. What you will be doing:
- Liaise with Site Management teams and ensure the hire / off hire of all internal/ external plant is arranged in line with programme.
- Accurately input hired plant into the required the correct system.
- Liaise with Site Management teams and ensure the delivery tickets, collection notes and original test certificates are returned / processed.
- Complete off hire sheets weekly and file/ process.
- Ensure Site Management teams are returning all PUWER and LOLER checks and reporting any defaults to the supplier.
- Ensure Site Management teams return all Plant and equipment calibration test and certificates are ensure documents are processed on system.
- Ensure the correct level of service is being given from suppliers; notify hire desk if a supplier is not performing to the required standard.
- Keep accurate records of all company vehicles and drivers on the project.including the plant tracker
- Deal with any plant queries and pass on to the relevant managers for signature.
- Record all costs of all repairs, losses, and damages and ensure commercial team are aware.
- Work alongside the Murphy hire desk team to ensure systems are up to date.
- Report and complete any paperwork for thefts/loss or damage of plant items.
- Liaise with Logistics team and depot manager around deliveries and collection of plant.
What we are looking for:
- High level literacy and IT skills, with proven ability to expertly use a range of relevant software especially Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Proven experience of working to a high level of accuracy in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Personal resilience and ability to respond positively to pressure.
- Adaptability and self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and manage a diverse workload.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full driving licence.
