Recycling Operative (Casual)– KINNEIL KERSE & ROUGHMUTE

A Casual recycling operative position has become available within the Waste Services operations team. The duties include:

  • Advising and assisting the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of material deposited in the sites.
  • Maintaining accurate records for the removal of material from the site and of all activities on the site.
  • Assisting in Waste facility operations
  • Maintaining a tidy site
  • Assisting on material segregation (MRF)
  • Ensuring that within his/her areas of responsibility, Falkirk Council complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions
  • Cooperating with Falkirk Council and with other employees in order to comply with site Licence working plan and, all applicable legislation including Falkirk Council Policies and Procedures
  • Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role

This position is on a Casual basis. You will work on an as and when required basis to cover weekends, and weekday operations. Hours can vary; therefore, flexibility is key.

Place of work will be split between the Roughmute and Kinneil sites, or elsewhere to meet the needs of our strategy. Please note – there may be times when you are not required, which could result in zero hours.
