Summary

Location: Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel

Aimbridge EMEA are now seeking a Conference and Events Sales Executive to join the team at the newly refurbished Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel on a full time basis.

**Please note this role is being offered on a full time basis. As such we will only be accepting applicants who are age 18 or above, and have no restrictions on their working hours**

A day in the life of…

As Conference and Events Sales Executive, you will be responsible for promoting and executing all Conference & Events business within the hotel and as an ambassador to the hotel, you will be an expert on all the facilities on offer with the ability to advise guests based on their individual needs. You will also record and process all enquiries that are made by phone, email, or face to face to ensure all guests are dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner. You will work with your teammates and liaise with the wider hotel team to ensure all leads are followed and departmental targets and individual KPI's are met

Based in the newly refurbished Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel, you will be part of a team of passionate people who know that being the best doesn’t always mean working around the clock.

What do we need from you?

To be successful in this role, you will be passionate about providing an exceptional guest experience and living through our brand standards. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality or related field or have previous experience in a sales role, preferably in the hospitality or events industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with Opera or a different Sales CRM software
  • Knowledge of the hospitality and events industry, including current trends and best practices
