Summary
About The Role
General Overview:
Undertake all aspects of general daily cleaning duties including vacuuming, dusting, mopping and toilet/ washroom facilities. Operate cleaning equipment, set up/move furniture according to events/meetings requirements and use cleaning materials as required in accordance with Health and Safety requirements.
Operative will be working in public and private areas; knowledge of the area, local business and landmarks is a must; operative will be representing OCS and Southbank Centre while on duty.
Complexity:
Operative may be approached by members of the public and event organizers for various reasons (eg. asking for directions, local/site information, extra requirements etc).
Qualifications or Required Experience:
Candidate should have experience in cleaning and porter services at external/internal and public areas; candidates without experience but with the willingness to work in the cleaning and events supporting industry may also be considered for this position; experience in communicating or receiving work instructions over radios, daily reports and mobile phones. Must be able to communicate effectively with work colleagues, event organizers and member of the public.
